Tankställen i Finland

Post by cbg »

The Finnish Biogas Association published biogas filling station map of Finland in 2013: http://www.biokaasuyhdistys.net/index.p ... Itemid=111

Major updates have been recently made. The map is available in the original direct address: https://mapsengine.google.com/map/viewe ... gSa9MoWUuY

Main features are:
1) There are 21 public biogas filling stations in Finland. All of them are CBG100 stations, i.e. selling 100 % biogas.
2) In addition, there are 2 public CNG stations => total for public CMG stations is 23.
3) There are 2 private biogas filling stations, not counting home refuelling stations.
4) There are six sellers of traffic biogas and six upgrading plants.
5) 17 planned biogas stations (2014-2016) are included in the map for showing the development of coverage.
6) The map includes a lot of information in the general info box and in the station specific info boxes (including source of biogas).
7) Biogas is the only 100 % renewable transport energy source available in public filling/charging stations in Finland.

I (Ari Lampinen) maintain the map, so in addition to forum messages, you may contact me directly.

I have very much been irritated that in most parts of Sweden and Germany biogas filling stations are marked by CNG signs, i.e. renewable energy source is called fossil energy. This spring Energigas Sverige changed the nice technology neutral balloon markers in their web filling station map to CNG markers. And recently NGVA Europe published European filling station web map, where all stations are marked either by CNG or LNG, including those that never sell CNG or LNG (e.g. CBG100 and LBG100 stations).

So I changed the balloon markers of the Finnish filling station web map to CBG markers. I really hope that Sweden would follow:

Hi!

In Sweden there is only a few station that always have 100% Biogas. For the major part of stations, it can be 100% Natural gas or 100% Biogas or everything in between. As a driver you do not know.

Some statistics from gasbilen.se
Under 2013 såldes drygt 146 miljoner normalkubikmeter (Nm³) fordonsgas, motsvarande 1 493 GWh.

Sorry for the swedish.

So in my opinion it would be wrong to sign up with CBG and as it is today also CNG, there should be something else, why not CG?

Today (18.12.) the requirement for operator specific fuel cards ended in the Finnish biogas filling stations. Now payment by cash or credit cards is possible in all public filling stations (now 24). See news at http://www.cbg100.net/news/open-availab ... hed-today/

It is good news for Swedish biogas drivers visiting Finland.

The Finnish biogas filling station map is available at http://www.cbg100.net/in-english/map-of ... -stations/
